The Six Nations Championship (referred to as RBS 6 Nations for sponsorship reasons) known before 2000 as the Five Nations is an annual international competition for rugby union with six European teams: England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales.

The Six Nations Championship is the successor of the Five Nations and the Home Nations Championship, which was the first international tournament of rugby in the northern hemisphere.
