How do you know if your a fake Shun knife? I recently bought a new SHUN 6.5 "NAKIRI knife ebay, How can you tell if the article was false or not?
The knife was supposedly a limited lifetime warranty in the time and the blade never come with some certificate of authenticity or of paper. The blade has 16 layers of steel to forge the blade, but it seems etched.
Ideas? Thank you.
If it is a quality COUNTERfit you can not say, even if it is made of different steel, only the laboratory will tell.
If it is something you ca crapy ntele the quality of construction and how it behaves when using, ie dulls too quickly. Although over, I had to restore several leaks on the edges that have been damaged very badly when using ordinary kitchen.
In general however, shuns knives do not come with certificate of authenticity or anything like that. The box is about right.
Well, I've never heard of counterfeiting Shun knives. I had quite a few Shuns examination and restoration, and yes the model Damascus not seem very mixed, but this is not etched.
For John the Baptist has come eating no bread and drinking more wine, and you say, He hath a devil. "The Son of man came eating and drinking, and you say: Behold, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of publicans and sinners! But wisdom is justified of all her children."
