Pr4 Ecu

Posted on May 12, 2010.
Pr4 Ecu91 Integra PR4 ECU question ...?

I am a 91 Integra GS with Bolton and some house work ... camsgears, cranecams camshafts, valve springs and retaining cold air intake, lightweight Pully, apex catback, headers from DC ... etc. .. the problem I have is with my shield is not a stock pr4 ECU VTEC, I would like to expand the range of power ... I want higher rpm range ... more like 8200-8500 rpm instead of 6500 red zone .... yes I know it sux, upgrades a bit ECU for Pr4 are available ... Yes, I posted on the forums but it seems that never before I get a response ... ooh yes will be a cheap ebay smart *** satify my needs temporarily to high speed

hate to break it to you but just cuz your ls can be turned 8500rpm doesn't mean it will make energy up there, or last longer than a few months.

If you want to run this rpm range you should look in a B16. the LS has a rod horrible stroke ratio and destroy the 8500rpm motor with a little time ... or low ls rod bolts will break and you push a rod of your power.

Red Line stock is there for a reason, you no longer need to pass it until you have real mods .. forged rods, forged pistons, ARP rod bolts and studs head .. even a block of games.

a b16b swap and take it to 9000RPM all day.

but if you want to wear a little, as 7000RPM, find someone with a chip burner, have them take your shield and burn near the card stock with a higher rev limiter ... or take the rev limiter and having a ball.
