Plastic Cutting Boards

Plastic Cutting BoardsFlexible silicone or plastic cutting boards - good or not?

I plan to buy some soft silicone or plastic cutting boards, as found here:

http://www.chefscatalog.com/product/2423 ...

I wonder if their sustainability, they protect both the counters and knives, and if they really care to be in the dishwasher.

Do you recommend? Why or why not?

In fact, silicone is durable, can withstand high temperatures without melting, dishwasher and do not release chemicals into the food badly. It does not dull knives that will be hard plastics or Corian. And you can easily transfer sliced, chopped or minced food without additional measures to reverse or picking up products and may be dropped en route to the bowl or pan. All this translates into a product highly acceptable in my book. I recommend it gladly.

I have a plastic, because it is more sustainable. Not those who are like glass. Those who give in when you cut them. They are dishwasher safe and they are much better than glass, such as. Better for your knives.

Plastic diswaher security but are cut marks-time Personally, I like silicone and yes, they can fit in a dishwasher most silicone may take up to 500 degree heat
