Kitchenaid Ice Cream Attachment

I want to buy an ice cream maker / freezer. I have a KitchenAid mixer, but I wonder if the engine does warm up or worn on the cycle of freezing time? Anyone have any experience with this?

I just bought this attachment six months ago, and it's great! I made ice cream, sorbet and even ice Margarita (like gelato) my machine is tested as I make pasta, grind meat and even use it to make dough. KitchenAid mixer is the best home and took my first 20 years - this is my second and I'm sure it will last as long. Good luck!
