Kitchenaid Fridge

Posted on May 4, 2010.
Kitchenaid FridgeKitchenAid fridge does not cool the refrigerator top, but the freezer works well?

my KitchenAid refrigerator is not cooling but the freezer works without problems. My model is kbfa25erss01. what could be the cause? Tech came out and quoted me to replace the evaporator fan motor, but the fan runs just find. I am clueless.

Last week, I had the same model number that you have the same problem. Once I removed the back cover of the freezer fan was not running. However, I manually spin and it started working. But once I stopped the fan would not start. I changed the engines in these models EVAP more than I can count. It can be a hit and miss these models. The good thing is that KitchenAid has introduced a revised fan and I've never had to go back once I changed the engine. On a rare occasion of the shock can not be open. To check the registry, open the freezer and hold switch. Now, just hold your hand through the gate on the rear wall of the freezer on top. If you feel cold air blowing, then the evaporator fan is working properly. Now, close the freezer and opened one side of your ref. Again, hold switch and hold your hand through the gate on the back wall from the top. If you do not feel any air coming out when your shock is the problem.
