Holmes And Edwards Silverware

Posted on May 5, 2010.
Holmes And Edwards SilverwareIs it my money or silver plated or pure silver or not? and if silver where and how can I sell?

I have a set of silverware brand with the words Holmes and Edwards with the initials IS with a line between myself and S. and another with the writings 1881 Rogers Oneida LTD. Me want to know if they are plated with silver or pure silver, or not at all. and if they are silver plated, where can I sell them, or it is still worth selling. Requires significant assistance. If you know something. Would really appreciate the help. Thank you.

Holmes & Edwards as silver and plated silverware. Oneida made two silver and stainless steel silverware. You can search through the books of silver collection to find the model and determine if it was silver, silver plate or stainless steel. If the tarnished silverware, then it should be a minimum of silverware. Antique appraiser should be able to assess your silver and give you an assessment for insurance purposes (you should have anyway so that your landlord will cover the games). If you need to sell, you can put games on sending an antique dealer, place the pieces in an auction specialist, list them on eBay or sell to a pawnshop.
