Dinner Place Settings

Posted on May 15, 2010.
Dinner Place Settings Ettiqute questions .... If I am a seated dinner, as have the locale is it bad to have a buffet?

dinner? Or do I just need to put in place the plates in front of the buffet area? I do not want to use paper plates ... and I like the idea of having covered. advice?? Thank you!

I put the plates on the table, but we have a buffet.
I just wanted to have the appearance of the full table for photos of paintings and mistresses.

I say all places and let ppl run their plates at the buffet.
This way, they are not juggling plates, cutlery and napkins or anything else not on the table already

In most cases, seating plans are a waste of time, and most guests hate. Adults are not children, they can sit as they are, and with whom they want. Keeping families apart because of "bickering" is a myth. How many people who hate each other decide to stay together? There will be no problem avoiding each other without your help. People who do not know anyone and will only have to meet new people, no matter who they are sitting with. Also, people love to travel and mingle anyway.

Have placesettings with wine glasses, favors, etc. for everyone (sit down, no namecards), and the buffet dishes from the buffet. Reserve a few tables for VIPs and stay there.

It's wonderful to have a buffet, but do not assign seats. Just reserve some tables for the family.
One would normally tables all together, except the plates. They are on the buffet tables.

I put the towels, cutlery and glasses of water and heated to placesettings and allow the plates to Buffett. It always seems good for photos. You can also set the bread and butter plates to the table as well.
He then went easyier inviting them to wear plate buffet.

Have table set with napkins, silverware, bread and butter plate if there will be bread on the table and water glasses (wine glasses, if there will be wine with dinner) but have plates from the buffet. Some people do not take their food with them, or they forget. It will be convenient to have plates on the buffet.

did everything to the table, but the plates, the plates are the buffet table or customer to take their plates to the buffet table to get their food

Absolutely not. It depends on what you serve and how many people. If it makes sense to put food on the buffet and free service and then be seated in place of the parameters ~, is what you should do.
Place the plates on the buffet ~ all cutlery, etc. will be at placesetting. But you could also have people go to the table and take their plate and then go to the buffet food.
Good luck. I did this twice because I had 16 people for dinner and it would be difficult to get all the food around the table so I made a buffet. I put the plates on the buffet.

I think a buffet table with cardboard is acceptable. The purpose of place cards is really just putting people together who you think is fun and get along. You can always stack the plates at the buffet and let people know they need to find their place. I think it's very good.

Good luck!

EDIT: Duh. I thought you were talking cards. Yeah, silver and table linens, plates at the buffet. Yay, you. :-D

You can do what you want, but it is preferable that the plates are up in the buffet area. However, you can define tables and shippers use instead of plates on the tables. These plates are larger than you actually define your plates.
