Custom Made Knives

Posted on May 18, 2010.
Custom Made KnivesAre only good custom knives?

I have heard many people talk about how that custom forged knives are good quality. They describe the rest as "the economy's shit quality." I'm not sure this is true. My blade quality could be the economy, but that's just because I am a poor working man. We have much in common. We're not the best, but we do the work. I saw blades of high quality for as little as $ 25. What do you think?

and for the average working man you probabaly wont sink a few hundred dollars in a knife, but some people. There is a great difference in the steel or ceramic used in high-quality knives. But you usually go for about $ 200 - $ 300 to get to this kind of steel or ceramic. Most of these knives are intended for collection or for people who have jobs they have to put their lives on a knife, maybe someone like Blackwater in Iraq. A cheaper knife can serve you well, but most cheap knives are made in China with steel sub par but personally, my favorite knives are Buck 110's cost me $ 30.

Here knives Nice, wish I could have some.

I am a humble man working and can not afford the real high-end knives, it seems to lose time to time anyway! I got lucky with very good brand knives Kershaw. Ken Onion line in particular, in the 35 $ 50 range.

One of the knives I use most is actually given to me free by Cabelas. They sell if less than $ 20. It is manufactured in China and the quality is quite good.

I am one of those guys who collect knives and have spent over $ 300 for a knife, but I put my knife in my pocket without Chinese when the working time.

Who cares how much does a knife as he retains his good care and it does the job. A knife is a tool not a show piece.

Companies like Buck and Case knives are not personalized or handmade and they have the reputation of good quality. As long as a good steel knife and holds an edge well it meets the criteria of a good knife.

I guess that Buck Company probably helped set standards for some of these knives "measure". For a hunting knife, it is hard to beat a Buck Special No. 119, at a cost of about $ 50.00.

Custom knives are very good, but not mandatory. I have about 125 assorted knives notes, but mine are mostly intended to be used and generally use stainless steel blades 440 C which is common knife factory even though there are many new metals out frequently.

How will you use a knife and process, it is more important than what you paid for it. I've seen hunters who have spent about 3 grand on gear, firearms, clothing, etc. knife when they pay a guide to help them get a deer (in Illinois this isn't very difficult) They spent the night drunk and do not really care whether they take an animal or not, and many people just want the head when they are done.

I much prefer hunting with a person who has common sense and knows how to use and take care of his equipment. If your knife work, while all that matters. After enduring a lot of money and boast of your gear doesn't mean anything. Many rich slob hunters out there, but many other good ones.
