Cuisinart Knives

I have ran across several time washing dishes (probably a bad idea) and they have small brown spots on (which looks like rust?). I washed them with a sponge, warm water and soap and even stains will not come off. What's good way to clean my knife without these spots ahead of them?

Rust stains can be removed easily with a soft damp cloth and a little metal polish. Rub in the direction of grinding grooves with slight pressure.

~ ~ I do not know of anything that will remove rust stains. You should never place covered in a dishwasher. If anyone has an answer, it will be on www.about.com you can start the search by putting the problem in their field of research. Good luck, my daughter did the same thing, and we could not find anything to remove it. ~
