Car Apron

Posted on May 2, 2010.
Car ApronWhat a bumper "deck"?

I am trying to replace the bumper of my car before damaged by myself, and searched the net for the bumpers. These images call with bumper 'aprons' or 'door' and I wonder if that's what I need (they * Search * correctly!), Or, if such parts are parts that cosmetic. Can anyone explain the difference, if any, between what I (and I imagine most people) think like a bumper, an apron, "and a" cover "?

What you want is called a deck or a blanket. The real "bumper" is the metal under the lid.
They are fairly simple to change.

it's just a cover you must make sure the frame is not bent

The bumper you think is just a piece of plastic trim, so that the deck is what you see. Your real "shield" that manages the impact is there, and it is a piece of metal.

My bumper is exactly what I see, because mine is chromed steel. Who looks good on a truck but not a car, so cars have bumpers Insulated metal styrofoam just about her, and bumper plastic cover over.
