6 years old was camping utensils to school and is being launched because of his weapon. How ridiculous? Firstly, it is 6 do you really think he would hurt anyone. I know it happened once before and these are random things that are difficult or impossible to control, control can not you have someone like that. if anyone let alone a child is going to kill someone is extremely difficult to predict, if you're really going to kill someone or yourself you will do and you can almost never saw coming. People who kill are not stupid, they will hide the weapon and they will wait for the right moment. He does not walk around shouting "ooh look at that knife everyone I'm going to stab someone today." The child was happy to scout and decided to use something for show and tell, or just like to use them to eat because it made him happy. When I was in school, I packed lunch, and I pack forks and knives, real home and I'm sure many children do. The next thing you know he will be given to the bands and pencils and to count and collect it after lunch or a class as a prison. Also for any school or person in this narrow sense is real funny. Does anyone realize that a sharp # 2 pencil is incredibly dangerous, I had one in my backpack or pocket several times and put my hand there to grab it and stabbed myself and had to go to the nurse because I had hole in my hand was bleeding from everywhere. Other objects like a pencil, ruler, or utensils are all cafeteria plactic weapons but they are not allowed. It makes you laugh the ban, they still knives everyday objects that are essential in schools are just as dangerous. I mean for Christ's sake, nobody knows that you can kill someone with a single blade of grass?
What do you all think of this situation, this country hasn't got alittle crazy with security in schools, even the airports?

I stabbed in the hand with a pencil by another child at school when I was 8 years. It has no lasting harm, but I am now 39 and the mark is still there.

Yes, you could kill someone with a pencil or a blade of grass, but we should try very hard. It's damn easy slicing the throat of someone with a knife, especially a knife for camping. You'd have to stab someone repeatedly and super deep with a pencil to get the same effect.

The fact that he is 6 means absolutely nothing. There are about 6 years very violent over there ... even worse they are not old enough to know the real consequences of their actions. They might have seen some violent movies and has seen someone cut the throat of another person, and thought it was an effective way to express anger.

It's the attitude like yours that keeps us at risk. I am in total agreement with the school. I want them to err in favor of security.

The times are such that we can not take risks, because the killers are getting younger and younger. I am sure that the school was not worried about damage to an adult but by another child. Much better than your child gets a stay of up to 21 years imprisoned.
