Benchmade Vex

Hello,
I have a small collection of lockblades and I wonder if it is legal to make a small (not automatic) 3-inch Benchmade Vex or any other folder manually opened in the streets and not for recreation such as hunting and fishing. If you are a police officer or security officer can you please help me. I want to know the laws and regulations on the lock (not automatic) records in Massachusetts. Just the truth, not copy / paste!

I will not even pretend to know since I live in Texas and my condition is not as strict, but I do not know if a citizen has questions about issues like this and our local PD is more than happy SO to answer questions. they prefer to answer these questions in advance rather than arrest someone to guess.
